I believe in setting the atmosphere for the center and being effective as a leader in our day to day operation. I also believe in providing a loving, safe and healthy educational environment where children learn, explore and discover new skills.
“Leadership is not a position or title, it is action and example” We are not just teachers, we are managers of the world’s greatest resource: CHILDREN! – Robert John Meehan
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature. It is my primary goal as an educator to help children grow emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially by creating an environments that are safe, supports risk taking and invites an open generous sharing of ideas. Each day I try to provide children with opportunities for individual discovery that are meaningful and relevant to their interest. I want our children to enjoy the learning process and begin to develop their own motivation for learning, so they, like myself, will become lifelong learners. I am a leader with the ability to make every person feel respected, important, and needed. Each day I enter the building with an expectation for growth and look forward to learning something new each day!
Children are active participants in their own learning. Working in partnership with teachers to guide and support them preschoolers are encouraged to observe, wonder, think critically, create, and collaborate as they acquire the important skills necessary to succeed in school and in life. “Learning by doing” makes education meaningful for our children and instills in our youngest students the value and joy of life-long learning.
The preschool years of children’s lives are of the uttermost important when it comes to their growth. I truly believe it is crucial to place children in surroundings that are nurturing and stable. All children need to be able to structure secured connections not only with their parents and families but also with their educators.
